Fashion and sports have always found a way to intersect. It's become a right of passage as of late to test the boundaries of style. Now, thanks to visual avenues like Instagram, we've gotten to witness more great moments take place away from the field, court and baseball diamond.

The mission here was simple: hunt down eight great style moments from the sports world and bring them to you. Exposing people to this kind of stuff allows them to peek behind the curtain and see what makes each athlete tick.

Enjoy the following fashion pioneers and don't forget to drop a comment below with your favorite style moments.

Victor Cruz Takes on Fashion Week

1 of 8

Victor Cruz's fashion decisions have been well documented on an array of social media platforms. The picture posted above was taken during New York Fashion Week for men.

This New York Giants slot receiver has curated an impressive resume on Instagram by wearing detailed, designer looks and mixing them up with streetwear brands. He's even formed a friendship with style pioneer Ronnie Fieg.

All of this led to Cruz getting his very own sneaker with Nike. The Air Trainer Cruz is a beautiful shoe that should grab headlines thanks to a bold exterior and smooth colorways.

Make sure to be on the lookout for more compelling style moments from the Giants pass-catcher in the near future.

Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade is a popular name when it comes to sports and fashion. The Miami Heat guard has consistently shown off his attire in postgame interviews, on social media and of course, with his own sock collection, via Stance.

To say Wade has had a lot of off-court fashion moments would be a gross understatement.

Recently, Wade showed up at the premiere of Straight Outta Compton boasting a sharp, yet understated look. As dapper as Wade came off, his lovely wife, Gabrielle Union, stole the show—something Wade points out on his Instagram caption.

The combination of these two makes for a quintessential style moment.

Lewis Hamilton at Paris Fashion Week

Lewis Hamilton may not be well-known stateside, but this British Formula One racing champion has been a star in the fashion world.

If you follow his off-the-track activity, you'll notice that the level of style exhibited by Hamilton is tough to match amongst today's athletes. He can put outfits and concepts together effortlessly.

Plenty of images displayed on Hamilton's Instagram page are worthy of making this list. After careful deliberation, the one we settled on came during Paris Fashion Week.

LeBron James During the NBA Finals

LeBron James didn't leave the 2014-15 NBA Finals victorious. His Cleveland Cavaliers couldn't stop the Golden State Warriors.

But there was one particular area where the King shined: with his fashion choices. James' postgame pressers became rituals for style. The one picture we thought stood out more than the rest was LeBron sporting a TACKMA varsity jacket.

Attire choices that encompass sophisticated brands like TACKMA have been part of James' transition. This photograph is digital proof of that on the sport's grandest stage.

We could have picked plenty of moments from the 2015 ESPY Awards, but none shined brighter than Odell Beckham Jr. sporting a textured, red blazer.

As the biggest sensation to emerge from the 2014 NFL season, Beckham Jr. had to show up and make a statement. He certainly did that. A plush, tuxedo-red blazer lit the stage up and gave Beckham a chance to showcase his wild sense of style.

This dude really is a triumph. Between the outfits he rocks, catches he hauls in and charm, it's no wonder why this Giants standout has become a media darling.

Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka and Amar'e Stoudemire

6 of 8

A trifecta of style from Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka and Amar'e Stoudemire is always a good thing. Each guy is extremely fashionable in his own right and has a unique style to bode.

Westbrook has become the lifestyle face of Jordan Brand. His Westbrook 0 shoe was one of the cleanest sneaker drops of 2015.

Ibaka on the other hand uses Instagram to display more of an eclectic taste with his wardrobe choices. He'll tone it down at times, but overall he mixes in some eye-catching attire when you least expect it.

And Stoudemire? Well, he's all about refinement—as you can tell by his understated outfit and glimmering jewelry.

This creative picture distinctly shows off three different sides of three different NBA stars.

Cam Newton's Suit Game

7 of 8

We've seen a lot of unmistakable style moments so far. Cam Newton may have shattered them all.

Newton's sense of style isn't like anyone else's. He's more of a dapper dresser, using suit combinations and pastels to stand out.

The Easter image above from earlier this year is a perfect example of all things Newton. Those Carolina Panther blue slacks with a watermelon splashed pocket square is such a lethal combo.

Take notes, kids. Newton is as entertaining off the field as he is on it.

Bryce Harper Goes Blonde

8 of 8

National League MVP candidate Bryce Harper is a dynamic human. He can do just about everything on a baseball diamond. Away from it, he's also made some fashionable power moves.

With his Washington Nationals out of playoff contention, Harper went Ric Flair blonde. The look was debuted on his Instagram account.

Are you feeling the blonde bomber look? Either way, this was a big off-field style moment from the 22-year-old outfielder.
