The Big Ten Network announced that the Big Ten has suspended Jonas Mouton for one game for throwing a punch against a Notre Dame opponent during last weekend's game.

Here's the video:

If you ask me, Mouton was definitely the recipient of an illegal block in the back when he was on the ground, and this wasn't a full blown, lean back and clock him punch. But it did appear to be a little jab in the form of retaliation, and an unnecessary one. One game seems about right.

And he also received a public reprimand. "The actions of Jonas Mouton during the Notre Dame game are unacceptable," Commissioner Jim Delany said. "Mouton's behavior has no place in the sport of football or the Big Ten Conference."

Not sure what took the Big Ten so long considering Charlie Weis complained to the Big Ten about the game earlier this week...

Let's get to Eastern Michigan.
