Why You Should Care About Lesnar vs. Big Show

While on the surface it is hard to get behind the battle between Lesnar and Big Show at MSG, this is the correct way to book The Beast heading into his match against The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell later this month.

For the first time in a long time, WWE decided that this storyline warranted actual footage of the two men fighting when they were younger. Big Show and Lesnar have a long history against each other, and surprisingly, WWE did a good job of showing the fans what happened.

As always, WWE rewrote history by not showing Paul Heyman turning his back on Lesnar, but that’s another topic for another article.

The whole purpose of booking Lesnar on these live events is to draw a rating to the WWE Network, and that’s exactly what WWE Live from MSG will do. Whether it’s against Big Show or someone else, the fans are there to see The Beast.

The WWE Universe also wants to see Lesnar destroy his challenger, so WWE putting a man like Big Show in the ring with him is the perfect visual. Lesnar will have the opportunity to throw the giant around like the freak of nature that he is, and the fans in attendance and at home will eat it up.

Instead of putting an over guy like Cesaro in the ring with Lesnar to get destroyed, WWE wisely chose Big Show, who is doing nothing and means nothing to the fans. Most smart members of the WWE Universe want to see Lesnar mercilessly destroy Big Show, and that’s exactly what the WWE Creative team should be booking.

For the four minutes this match will last, the WWE Universe will be in absolute shock as Lesnar once again manhandles the giant. You may not like Big Show, but anything Lesnar touches turns to gold.

Predicted Winner: Brock Lesnar
