The New Orleans Saints come into Philadelphia to face the Eagles. With Donovan McNabb being doubtful for the game, backup QB Kevin Kolb will probably start. So, here is Kevin Kolb's scouting report, as written by experts.
Kevin Kolb was drafted out of Houston in the second round by the Eagles. He has all the intangibles and was productive throughout his career at Houston. He is a good enough athlete, in a sense that he could hurt the defense with his feet. His arm strength is average, but has a quick release, from always playing in the shotgun.
He can throw from all angles of the field and on the run. He can be a leader in the huddle and take control of the offense. He has the presence of mind behind center, seeing the field, while finding open receivers.
His accuracy is questionable, especially on all his throws: short and deep. He tends to direct his throws, while staring down the primary target.
Well Kevin Kolb has to lead the Eagles this Sunday, but the real question with Kolb is if he could be McNabb's replacement down the line.
