Felipe Massa has told Brazilian press that he will be attending a 500 mile Kart race in Cotia Sao Paulo called the 500 Milhas da Granja Viana, on December 5 should he be liberated by medical staff.

This should serve as a good indicator of whether or not his hand eye coordination has been negatively affected as a result of his accident in Hungary and would serve as a good warm up prior to hopping back into a Formula 1 car.

Ferrari have stated that they will be requesting the permission of the FIA and FOTA for Massa to do some additional testing in an F1 car as well prior to the start of next season, a request which proved controversial when Michael Schumacher was denied additional testing rights during his attempted comeback to substitute for the injured Massa earlier in the season.
