#22 KANSAS (-22.5) 38 Duke 12

09:00 AM Pacific Time Saturday, Sep-19

Duke is still a below average team, out-gaining Richmond and Army by a combined 4.9 yards per play to 4.8 yppl and the Blue Devils aren't equipped to compete with what looks like a good Kansas team that destroyed a bad Northern Colorado team 49-3 in week 1 and then dominated a decent UTEP team 34-7 on the road while out-gaining the Miners 6.8 yppl to 4.2 yppl.

Kansas looks about the same offensively as last year's good unit, but this year's defense is back to being good after having difficulty defending the run last season.

Kansas has been a streaky team under coach Mangino and the Jayhawks are 17-4 ATS in games following a game in which they won and covered the spread. Kansas applies to a 259-138-6 ATS statistical match-up indicator and I'll look for the Jayhawks to continue their early season spread win streak with a convincing home win over the Blue Devils.

I'll consider Kansas a Strong Opinion if the line drops to -21 or less.
