Game Recap

Baseball, MLB, AL East, NL Central, Tampa Bay Rays, Cincinnati Reds, Jay Bruce, MLB Rookie of the Year, Game Recap

With the Tampa Bay  Rays streaking into first place, everyone in Major League Baseball is keeping their eye on one Evan Longoria. He has performed at major league level and deserves every penny of his contract. He has shown he can play on an everyday basis and perform.

Let's take a trip North to Cincinnati, Ohio. The Reds are playing the Pirates. What's so special about this night? Baseball America's number one prospect, Jay Bruce, is making his debut. This kid is supposed to be even better than Longoria. He was the Reds first overall pick in the 2005 draft.

So far tonight he hasn't dissapointed. He has gone 3 for 3, with 2 RBI and a walk. He has made some good plays in center and overall has had an amazing rookie debut.

I see no reason why this kid can't be one of the best players of all time. And I hope ESPN attacks Jay Bruce in his debut season as much as they have Longoria.
