ESPN is currently reporting that Desmond Mason may be signing with the Sacramento Kings.

Mason was recently in Sacramento for a physical and could sign as soon as Thursday.

Mason is a veteran who most recently played for the OKC Thunder averaging 7.5 points and 4 rebounds a game in a limited role.

Last year he was injured and only played in 39 games last year. Most will remember Mason for winning the Slam Dunk Contest in his rookie season.

For his nine-year Career Mason has averaged 12.2 points, and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Mason would definitely be a helpful acquisition to the rebuilding Kings, providing a veteran presence and leadership to the young squad in desperate need of solid players lead by example.
