It's a new season of Giant football, so I put together my WISHLIST for 2009.

With a little luck and some great play the 2009 season can be another special year for Big Blue. Enclosed are a few things that "I wish" could happen.

I don't want to be greedy, but if only a few of these "wishes" come true a good season is upon us.

A guy can dream, right?

NY Giants Football: My Wishlist

Wants and needs are always part of football. I want a touchdown they need a field goal, I want a linebacker they draft a defensive end, I want a deep pass, Gilbride runs it up the gut!

As a fan, ex-college player and a season ticket holder...remaining objective can be sometimes...impossible.

Enclosed is my 2009 NY Giant Wishlist:

Stick'em, Ross

ATLANTA - OCTOBER 15: Cornerback Aaron Ross #31 of the New York Giants grabs in interception on a hail-mary pass attempt on the last play in the first half while taking on the Atlanta Falcons at Georgia Dome on October 15, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia. The G

I wish to see CB Aaron Ross pick off a Donovan McNabb pass and return it 75 yards for a touchdown to win the game

This would show why the Giants made him a No. 1 draft pick in 2007.

Hixon Shows Up

ST. LOUIS, MO - SEPTEMBER 14: Domenik Hixon #87 of the New York Giants catches a pass against Fakhir Brown #34 of the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome on September 14, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Giants beat the Rams 41-13. (Photo by Dilip

I wish to see Domenik Hixon step out and into the spotlight with a two touchdown day.

One would be a kick return, as No. 87 uses his speed and elusiveness to bring one back to the house.

The second touchdown would be a sweet 50-yard bomb from Eli as Hixon runs past Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel.

Getting Fierce with Pierce

I wish to see defensive captain and signal caller Antonio Pierce so fired up playing against his old team that he pulls down a 13-tackle day, shutting the door on any playoff hopes for Washington.

The Pitch Back

20 Dec 1986: Quarterback Phil Simms of the New York Giants (left) hands off the ball to teammate running back Joe Morris during a game against the Green Bay Packers at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Giants won the game, 55-24. Mandat

I wish we could go back and borrow a page out of the playbook from Bill Parcells, because I used to love watching the pitch back play.

If you're old enough to remember the Giants in the 80's, Joe Morris and Phil Simms executed the pitch back play flawlessly.

Simms hands off to Morris up the gut; however, before hitting the hole Joe Morris pitches the ball back to Simms, who hits a streaking Phil McConkey for a long gain.

Lets bring it back with Bradshaw and Eli!

Touchdown, Steve Smith.

A New Clint in Town

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - MAY 09: Clint Sintim #97 of the New York Giants works out at rookie camp on May 9, 2009 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Jeff Zelevansky/Getty Images)

I wish to see Clint Sintim take over the middle linebacker spot and become a pure animal and the best middle linebacker since Harry Carson.

How would you like Big Blue to have a Brian Urlacher, Bart Scott, or Patrick Willis type behind Tuck and Osi...

No. 89 is Alive

SAN FRANCISCO - JANUARY 20: Tight end Mark Bavaro #89 of the New York Giants runs with the ball against linebacker Keith DeLong #59 and cornerback Darryl Pollard #26 of the San Francisco 49ers in the 1990 NFC Championship game at Candlestick Park on Janu

I wish to see the resurrection of No. 89.

Bavaro will always have a special place for me. Bavaro was and always will be the man; however, since it was given out to Kevin Boss, and the kid is a great athlete, bring back the seam route and throw the No. 89 the ball.

I have seen Boss run with the ball.

I have seen Boss jump over defenders.

Now it's time for No. 89 to show its true colors and bring on the steamroller.

Sack Attack

I wish to see a game where every defensive lineman has a sack.

Tuck, Osi, Robbins, Canty, Cofield, Kiwanuka, Bernard, Tollefson.

Reverse

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - DECEMBER 07: Sinorice Moss #83 of the New York Giants returns a kickoff against the Philadelphia Eagles at Giants Stadium on December 7, 2008 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Nick Laham/Getty Images)

I wish to see Sinorice Moss to take a reverse back to the house!

NFC Championship

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - SEPTEMBER 13: Mario Manningham #82 of the New York Giants eludes a tackle attempt from Andre Carter #99 of the Washington Redskins enroute to a touchdown on September 13, 2009 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Phot

I wish to see the Giants crush the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game at home.

Steve Smith, Domenik Hixon, Hakeem Nicks, Ramses Barden and Mario Manningham combine for 30 catches, 350 yards and three touchdowns.

XLIV

GLENDALE, AZ - FEBRUARY 03: Wide receiver Plaxico Burress #17 of the New York Giants holds the Vince Lombardi Trophy after defeating the New England Patriots 17-14 in Super Bowl XLII on February 3, 2008 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, A

I wish to sit in Miami and watch the NY Giants beat the San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl XLIV.

and somewhere, wearing an orange jumpsuit, Plaxico Burress cries...
