Who Has The Worst Case Of The Mondays

Brady StiffContributor ISeptember 14, 2009

Happy Monday indeed.

Every Monday from here on out, I'll try to come up with a few people who have a Case of the Mondays, and I'll let you decide who has the worst, incurable Case.

1. The Chicago Bears
Where do I even start with the Bears? Not only did they lose to the Packers, Jay Cutler threw 4 interceptions, they lost Pisa Tinoisamoa for at least 2-3 weeks (could be more), and as Neal reported earlier, they lost Brian Urlacher for the year. The Bears woke up this morning bruised and beaten, not to mention 0-1 with a date with the Steelers awaiting them.

2. Donovan McNabb
Donovan is hurting big time this morning after running for a touchdown during yesterday's beatdown of the Panthers. How could he be hurting? Well, he broke a rib in the process! "He's pretty sore," coach Andy Reid said Monday. "He's going to try and battle through it. He'll struggle to practice." The Eagles play the Saints, and if Week 1 is any indication, they'll need to put up a boatload of points to stay with Drew Brees and company. Odds are they won't be able to do that with Kevin Kolb.

3. The Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays had better enjoy people calling them "The Defending AL Champs", because it won't be lasting for long. On Sunday, the Rays losing streak reached 11, including getting swept in a doubleheader by Boston yesterday. They've been eliminated from the AL East, and they might as well be from the Wild Card as they sit 12.5 games back of the Red Sox.

4. Serena Williams
I don't even know where to begin with Ms. Serena. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out this video:

Serena was fined $10,000. She did issue an apology, but it doesn't matter. She did what she did, and it will live with her forever.

So who has the worst Case of the Mondays? Let me know what you think!
