The 2009 Notre Dame football season is only two weeks old. And my beloved Irish are on the ropes, and groggy again. There no way that Michigan should have won yesterday`s game. But they did! Don`t get me wrong. Michigan played with heart, and for Rich Rodriguez, practice meant perfect yesterday! Hats off to the wolverines! But there should have been no way that Notre Dame let a freshman QB beat them yesterday like he did. Never mind the penalties. And very questionable play calling and clock management from Weis. Its still 38-34 to the victors go the spoils! Enough said about that!
Where do the Irish go from here? 11-1? I really doubt it! 10-2? doubtful! 9-3? Maybe? Well guess what Charlie? Like you yourself proclaimed after the 2005 season, 9-3 Is not good enough! And maybe we won`t even win 9 games this year? But I believe Charlie Weis has a better chance of having a 32" waist by Thanksgiving. Than being in a BCS bowl game! He allowed a freshman QB, and an embattled coach to embarrass him and Notre Dame yet again! Enough already! The genius has no common sense! How else do you explain yesterday`s 2nd half play calling and clock management? Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick better have the school jet on standby! And the checkbook open for a real coach! Whoever that might be?
