Okay one thing I have to profess before I continue this article.  I am a Michigan State fan.  I do not hate U of M though I do dislike them most of the time.  One thing I do hate is people or teams being overrated.   In my opinion Notre Dame is (or was) the most overrated team in college football today.  Everyone was singing their praises about how good they were until this game.

People were psyched for Notre Dame because they have returning starters at linemen and quarterback.  But do you know what the problem is with that?  It doesn’t mean anything if they can’t play.  I mean they got beat by a former 3-9 team that had a freshman quarterback!  Notre Dame had everything during this game, opportunity after opportunity and they blew it.  Twice the amount of offensive yards at half time; gone at the end of the game.  Returning starters and a “talent quarterback” got killed by a young freshman quarterback.  A head coach given a second chance at the job vs. the worst starting year coach that Michigan has ever had; “The Super bowl head coach” got “served” by Rich Rod and a freshman.

All and all I think that Michigan performing better is good for the big ten.  Big ten teams will not look like crap in non conference games and it will push other big ten team to increase their performance.  And finally most of all Michigan has done everyone a great favor by popping they biggest bubble in all of college football, Notre Dame.
