With the acquisitions this off season of two of the leagues well known offensive forces in Allen Iverson and Zach Randolph along wit budding stars OJ Mayo,Rudy Gay,and a upcoming center in Marc Gasol. The Grizzlies know hold one of the premiere starting lineups in the NBA.I believe all 5 players will average double figures in points and the team will average 100+ points per game and a 6th,7th,or 8th playoff spot if everything works out.
PG.Allen Iverson
At 34 yrs of age and still having the ability to put up 25+ppg a game,Iverson will change his game up a bit as long as he stays at that starting pg spot.He will easily avg 8+apg this season with all the talent surrounding him in the lineup.I see him avg 17ppg,10apg,2spg this season.
SG.OJ Mayo
The 21 yr old sg already plays under control like a grizzled vet,he has good shot selection, and shoots a solid shooting percentage. With solid defensive play, and all around offensive skills look for Mayo's numbers from last year of 19ppg,4rpg,3apg to increase in all 3 areas.Look for 21ppg,5rpg,and 5apg this season.
SF.Rudy Gay
The 23 yr old sf is a versatile swingman with post up ability. He is able to take it off the bounce has solid range from all areas of the court, and has gotten better each of his 3 seasons in the league with goinf from 11ppg in his 1st yr to 20ppg his 2nd and 19ppg last year. Look for his numbers from last season of 19ppg,6rpg,2apg to increase in all 3 areas.Look for 20ppg,7rpg,4apg this season.
PF.Zach Randolph
The 28 yr old pf is a prolific low post scorer, with a solid jumpshot and 1 of only a handfull of players to average 20+ppg,10+rpg a game last season. He is the key to this team making the playoffs,if he can play more of a team game and become somewhat of a playmaker by making good passes out of double teams, expect this to be a dream season for Memphis.Look for his numbers from last season of 21ppg,10rpg,50%fg,to increase in two areas.Look for 17ppg,13rpg,50+fg%,and 2 bpg,I think his overall defensive play will step up to a higher level hopefully.
C.Marc Gasol
The 24 yr old c is a solid offensive low post player who averaged 12ppg,7rpg,2apg,1bpg last season. With 4 other above average/all star players around him expect him to have free will in the post and not get double teamed.Teams will make him score to beat them and he will be able to put up numbers.Look for all his numbers in all 4 areas to increase.Look for 15ppg,with more trips to the free throw line 73%ft,10rpg,3apg,2bpg this season, very respectabel numbers for a center.
