Last evening, while watching the Titans battle it out against the Steelers, I felt as if I was watching 'Final Destination 10:  The Madden Cover Curse'.

Out of nowhere the overweight, over rated Crumpler and several more rotund men fell atop Polamalu's knee and twisted it causing him to exit the game early.

As I awoke this morning, I turned on the computer to see Polamalu has an MCL tear and could miss up to six weeks.

In furthering my research, and this is where things get eerie, I noticed that Larry Fitzgerald was listed as questionable for an undisclosed reason. Using my journalistic skills I found out he is suffering from... split ends due to a bad cut and color he received some time during this off season.

And thats when it hit me, both of these men are on the cover of John Madden's football video game.  I then found out many other great players have suffered injuries in correlation with being on the cover:  Ray Lewis, Eddie George, and the "future Hall of Famer", Vince Young.

Last season I thought the NFLs ironman Brett Favre had beaten the curse that defiled so many before him.  Much to my surprise I started hearing mysterious leaks of shoulder and bicep tears for the gridiron legend.

I realized I can't help those other men beat the curse but I can help one, Larry Fitzgerald.  If there were only some way I could get him a bottle of Head n' Shoulders double strength protection with vitamin boost 2 n' 1 Shampoo and Conditioner maybe, just maybe, he could be 100% for Sunday.

After pondering how to contact him for awhile, I decided to check my fantasy team and noticed that my week one opponent had Larry Fitzgerald on his team.

So I've decided to wait until week 2 to try and help him out...

I just hope this weekend of the season that the 'Final Destination 10:  Madden Cover Curse' doesn't catch up to him.

Hey, like Herman said "we play to win the game!"
