The Raider Nation is smiling along with Darren McFadden after learning from Raiders Head Coach Tom Cable that Darren has been named the Raiders starting running back for 2009 NFL season. This move by Coach Cable will now get the talented second year player more involved in the Raider offense. He has shown is his short career that he has the ability of a runner who can break one any time he touches the ball. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield will also keep the Raiders opponents off balance. The Raiders running attack will be explosive with Darren starting. The Raiders can still kill the clock and pound the ball with Michael Bush and Justin Fargas. The Raiders projected rushing rotation will be hard to beat. With his talent and game breaking ability Darren should take some pressure off JaMarcus Russell and his rookie receivers Darrius Heyward - Bey and Louis Murphy. Can you imagine when Chaz Schilens returns ? An offensive set with Darren in the Backfield, Schilens,Heyward-Bey and Murphy spread out with Zack Miller in at tightend ? The offensive sets are endless. Coach Cable will have so many weapons to keep the opposition guessing. Can these young Raiders continue to grow as a team and become the offense that will help Mr.Davis , Coach Cable , The Raiders and The Raider Nation get back to the playoffs? Great move Coach Cable .
