It wouldn't do justice to do a single column on each, especially when both games happened in the same setting on the same day. So to show a little team spirit for all the Red Wings and Pistons fans out there, here's a double shot of playoff sports for you.

Eastern Conference Finals, Game 4: Celtics 94, Pistons 80

The Celtics have never won on the road in this postseason. The Pistons have been dominant at home all postseason. My, how the tables turn when the scenery changes.

Led by KG's broken-record double-double performance (22 and 13), the Boston Celtics did what they haven't been able to do in these playoffs: win on the road. They took a 2-1 series lead over the Detroit Pistons, ensuring that this dance isn't over yet. On a night where KG showed how bad he wanted it, the bench for Boston showed that they wanted it just as much as he did.

Kendrick Perkins led the way with a double-double (12 and 10) while Rajon Rondo added 12 points and four assists. But it was playoff vet James Posey who shined in his Eastern Conference final debut with 12 points.

As for the Pistons, who were left wondering what the hell happened, Rip Hamilton made up for his four-point performance in the first half by finishing with 26 points for the game to keep the Pistons close. But in the end, it was both the Pistons' 38 percent shooting from the field and their 1-for-13 effort from 3-point range that did them in.

Game Four is Monday night. But the Pistons weren't the only party in town on Saturday night.

Stanley Cup Finals, Game 1: Red Wings 4, Penguins 0

In a game where experience would meet youth, the Legend Killers got straight up served by the Legends.

Led by Mikael Samuelsson, the Detroit Red Wings showed the Pittsburgh Penguins what Stanley Cup hockey was all about while taking a 1-0 series lead over the Eastern Conference Champs.

Samuelsson netted two unassisted goals, including the game-winner in the second period and some insurance, to help the Red Wings show that the Golden Years are far from their sight.

I would like to say something good about the Penguins, but unfortunately, they left me with nothing except that they tried to make a game of it.

Game Two is on Monday night in Detroit Rock City.

That's the rundown of Saturday Night Fever. I wonder which team will keep the city happy when the smoke clears on Tuesday morning?
