This off-season brings up many questions for the Wild's future, and in particular, who they will pursue to sign, and who they will seemingly let slide through their fingers.
It comes down to what Minnesota wants to accomplish in the next NHL season. Obviously they'd like to go after another division title and reach the postseason for a third consecutive season, although they may find themselves in a reformation stage.
While Marian Gaborik has been with the team during its entire franchise existence, one can only ask when the time is right to move on? With right hand man Pavol Demitra having a poor season, and coming up on free agency, you can only speculate as to what Marian would want if "Demo" were to leave the team. Which brings me to our consistent veteran.....

Brian Rolston has scored 30 goals in the past three consecutive seasons. This is the type of consistancy the Wild need and aren't exactly getting from Gaborik. It may be time to cut Marian loose to free up some salary space and give some younger guys a chance to prove themselves. I'm sure Matt Foy, Beniot Puliout, Cal Clutterbuck, and others would really step up their game with such an opportunity.
The up-coming NHL regular season will be full of excitement. No matter what happens..... LETS GO WILD!

R U KIDDING ME!!!!!! Gaborik is the only player besides Roloston that can put the puck in the net!!!! They need Gaborik but I think Gaborik will go somewhere where they let the team use his talents.
