HOMESTEAD, FL - NOVEMBER 16: Jimmie Johnson (R), driver of the #48 Lowe's/Kobalt Tools Chevrolet, holds up the trophy after winning the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship after the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 16, 2008 in Home

Only one race remains in the Race to the Chase. Four spots have been claimed, leaving eight spots up for grabs with 11 drivers looking for a spot in the Chase.

It's like Miley Cyrus says, "Always gonna be an uphill battle, sometimes I'm gonna have to lose." This weekend's race is going to be an uphill battle for the drivers trying to get in The Chase. Three drivers will have to lose.

Here's a look at the drivers on the bubble.

Carl Edwards

Carl Edwards' chances at clinching a spot in The Chase look very promising. Edwards is fifth in the standings and currently has a 105 point cushion on 13th place—the first spot left out. He will clinch a spot in the chase if he finishes:

24th or better;
25th, with five bonus points for leading a lap; or
27th, with ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Kasey Kahne

Kasey Kahne has a good chance to get himself into The Chase, but he is not out of the woods yet. Kahne is 96 points ahead of 13th place. He will clinch a spot in The Chase if he finishes:

21st or better;
23rd, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
24th, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Kurt Busch

Kurt Busch has a good chance at clinching a spot in The Chase, but like Kasey Kahne, he's no lock. Busch is currently 95 points in front of 13th place. He will clinch a spot in the chase if he finishes:

20th or better;
22nd, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
24th, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Juan Pablo Montoya

Juan Pablo Montoya is firmly on the bubble to get in The Chase. Montoya is only 88 points ahead of 13th place. He will clinch a spot in the chase if he finishes:

18th or better;
20th or better, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
21st or better, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Ryan Newman

Ryan Newman needs to watch his rear view mirror, because if he messes up this week at Richmond, his chances of getting into The Chase will be over. Newman is only 81 points out of The Chase. He will clinch a spot in The Chase if he finishes:

16th or better;
17th or better, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
19th or better, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Mark Martin

Mark Martin is currently in, but one wrong move could be the difference between his being in or out. Martin is only 69 points ahead of 13th in points. He will clinch a spot in the chase if he finishes:

12th or better;
14th or better, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
15th or better, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Greg Biffle

DOVER, DE - SEPTEMBER 21: Greg Biffle, driver of the #16 3M Ford leads Matt Kenseth, driver of the #17 DeWalt Ford and Carl Edwards during Biffle's win in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Camping World RV 400 at Dover International Speedway on September 21,

Greg Biffle has some work to do to clinch his spot. Biffle is in as of now, but stands just 68 points over 13th place. He will clinch a spot in the chase if he finishes:

11th or better;
13th or better, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
15th or better, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps

Matt Kenseth

Matt Kenseth is nowhere near safe when it comes to The Chase. Kenseth is only 20 points ahead of 13th place. He will clinch a spot in the chase if he finishes:

2nd, and gets five bonus points for leading a lap; or
3rd, and gets ten bonus points for leading the most laps
