College Football Week Two Predictions: Spread and Straight Up

Last week, against the spread I went 4-6 and 7-3 straight up. Not too bad to start the season.

Clemson at Georgia Tech (-5)

The Tigers defense has enough athletes and speed to stop the triple option. Look for some big plays by C.J. Spiller

Winner: (Spread) Clemson; (Straight Up) Clemson

TCU at Virginia (+11)

The Horned Frogs are good again this year, while the Cavaliers are terrible.

Winner: (Spread) TCU; (Straight Up) TCU

Purdue at Oregon (-12)

The Ducks played badly last week, they'll make up for it this week.

Winner: (Spread) Oregon; (Straight Up) Oregon

North Carolina at Connecticut (+4)

The Tarheels look to be ACC contenders this season, while the Huskies desperately miss RB Donald Brown.

Winner: (Spread) North Carolina; (Straight Up) North Carolina

Central Michigan at Michigan State (-14.5)

The Chippewas have a good offense led by QB Dan Lefevour. They'll be able to stay in the game with the Spartans but not pull it out.

Winner: (Spread) Central Michigan; (Straight Up) Michigan State

South Carolina at Georgia (-7)

Historically, the Gamecocks always play the Bulldogs close. However, I think Georgia has too much offense for South Carolina.

Winner: (Spread) Georgia; (Straight Up) Georgia

USC at Ohio State (+6.5)

Finally, the game everyone's been waiting on. USC has too many athletes for OSU, but the fact their going with a freshman QB will help the Buckeyes stay in the game.

Winner: (Spread) Ohio State; (Straight Up) USC
