Breaking Point PPV Predictions
Hello everybody! As many of you can see, I’m new to Bleacher Report and this is my first article. I’m hoping to make a splash here, and continue writing on a regular basis. My first article will have some predictions on the upcoming Breaking Point PPV.
This PPV is new this year to the WWE, and features no Pinfall matches, but only submission matches. It takes place this Sunday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. I’ll start with the Intercontinental Championship match.
It hasn’t been announced on Television yet, but I think most people realize that John Morrison will face Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship this Sunday. Many people, including me would of picked Ziggy to win this match…. If Rey Mysterio were his opponent. However, Mysterio was suspended for 30 days by the WWE for taking drugs, and while Vince likes shorter title rains, I think with them pushing Morrison, he’ll have this title for a long time. The WWE had Rey holding the Championship for a long time, likely into October or November, before he got suspended. Now, I think they’ll have Morrison hold it for 80 or 90 days, before dropping it to Ziggler, or somebody else, like Rey, or R-Truth, before making a World Heavyweight Championship run. Morrison wins in a 10 to 15 minute match-up.
Next up, the ECW Championship match.
William Regal and his “Ruthless Roundtable” consisting of Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson, have been dominating ECW ever since their formation a couple of weeks ago. Jackson and Kozlov won a match between Tommy Dreamer, and the ECW Champion Christian, last week on ECW, and now Regal has a championship match against Christian at Breaking Point. Regal has one of the most devastating Submission maneuvers in the WWE(well, at least that’s how Matt Striker calls it), the Regal Stretch. How could Christian, win this match? Not with the Killswitch, his finisher, because this is a submission match. However, somehow I think he will manage to win. I mean, all the signs are pointing to it. Starting with, the ruthless roundtable has been dominating ECW, and everybody knows that the one who has the upper hand in the previous shows, always loses at the PPV. It happened with John Cena at SummerSlam, and I believe, somehow, it’ll happen here. Christian wins in a 15 to 20 minute match-up, but I do believe that he will eventually lose to Regal.
Great Khali vs. Kane, Singapore cane match.
I wasn’t the only person here, hoping that this feud would end after SummerSlam, but for some reason the WWE decided to extend it. Right now it’s the most boring feud in the WWE. Kane has a match, wins, Khali come comes out and tries to attack Kane, then Kane escapes. Every single week. Hopefully, the WWE will end this feud soon, because it’s boring. Oh, and while Vince is at it, could he fire Khali please? He is truly horrible. However, in the end, Kane will tap. Khali wins in a 5 minute match-up.
DX vs. Legacy, submissions count anywhere match.
The perfect senario, would be Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, on the streets of downtown Montreal, while people boo Shawn Michaels. It’s pretty obvious that DX will win this match. I’m not sure if the crowd will be behind them, after the Montreal Screw Job in the 90’s, that the People of Montreal have never let go, but they will win, regardless of the situation. I have a feeling, that the match will go a little something like this. At the beginning of the match DX will be the aggressor, but soon after Legacy, will take control. It’ll be back and forth for the rest of the match, with DX winning in 20 minutes or more. I think how the crowd will react to DX is more of a mystery than the outcome of this match.
Unified Tag Team Championship Match.
The Big Show, and Chris Jericho have been dominating the WWE tag team division, ever since they announced their Partnership at Night of Champions a couple of months ago, and I believe, that they will continue to do so. In fact, I think that they will hold the title until Edge’s return. Look at the power that the Big Show has, and the ability that Jericho has. He’s a 9-time Intercontinental Champion, and a 5-time World Heavyweight Champion. However, then you’ve got the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, and the WWE Superstar with the longest stint as United States Champion, M.V.P.. It is definitely I close one, but Jerishow will take it in a 10 or 15 minute Match-up.
World Heavyweight Championship Match.
You guys don’t know how much I want CM Punk to win this match. Not only because it would be huge for his career, but if he cheated his way to victory, he would draw even more heat then he already is, if that‘s possible, I mean, did you hear the boos in Phoenix a couple weeks ago? It could make him the WWE’s #1 heel. However, because that is best for the WWE, it won’t happen. In the end, I say that the Dead Man would take it, in about 10 or 15 minutes.
I quit Match for the WWE Championship.
It has already been announced, that this match is going to be won by John Cena, which I find hard to believe. Even though all the signs are pointing to Cena winning, I just can’t think, that he would do it on his own. So, here’s my theory: Batista returns early. I know it sounds far fetched, but here’s how I think it’ll play out. Orton has Cena in some sort of submission maneuver, and Cena is about to say “I quit”, when Dave crashes the party and starts beating down on Orton. Then, Cena locks in the STF and wins. It’s quite the theory, but here me out…. The day Batista’s arm was broken, he said “I going to make Orton’s life a living nightmare, and this is only the start”. Cena wins in a 20 to 30 minute Match-up.
So there you have it. That’s my first article, and I should be back for more very soon. So until then, I’m Michael The Amazing, and have a nice day!
