After two weeks of frustration with home runs, I personally think the "experimenting" with instant reply should be starting a little bit early.
I was sitting in my house, watching SportsCenter, and I noticed that the umpires have blown about five home run calls in the last two weeks, followed by most of the teams' managers being thrown out for arguing.
That's when I came to the conclusion that it is time for the MLB to start living in the present.
Seriously, what do you have to lose?
You don't have to use the instant reply on balls and strikes, or plays at the bases. You don't have to use instant reply on diving catches in the outfield. You just have to use the instant reply on home runs.
Everyday I turn on SportsCenter, and I hear about blown calls over and over and over again. And quite frankly, I am tired of it.
So, MLB, get over yourself and start living in the present. Use the instant replay system for home runs.
