Why Fedor "The Fat Emperor" Should Not Challenge UFC 106

Michael Rome over at Bloody Elbow throws out a very ignorant proposition: he says Strikeforce should counter-program UFC 106 with the Fedor Emelianenko/Brett Rogers fight.

"What they should do is be proud of their product and put it up against UFC 106 in November. Showtime can easily advertise the fact that you have a simple choice that night: you can pay $50 to see a WWE superstar who doesn’t even know how to fight, or you can see the greatest fighter in MMA history on Showtime. Sure it’s manipulative, but it’s no worse than what Dana’s been doing to Fedor for years now."

Michael makes a very retarded point here.

Sure, getting more coverage from the press and fans sounds all to perfect for the up-and-coming mma promoter Strikefarce...

But it is also an act of suicide for the humorous organization.

This sounds like a great idea on Showtimes part, since they will indeed be attracting a large audience regardless of the outcome.

But as for Strikefarce things appear very grim.

Once Fedor loses to Brett Rogers in front of millions of mma fans across the globe, Strikefarce will be defunct faster than you can say Affliction.

All Im saying is Fedor should of signed up with UFC while he had the chance, instead of fattening up on ice cream and rollercoasters...
