With less then 24 hours until kickoff of the 2009 NFL season, one quarterback controversy was left to be determined.
Throughout the preseason, head coach Eric Mangini kept the battle as a secret, not hinting as to whom he would name the starter, or leading the battle.
However, after a decision that turns out to be unsurprising and not worth the wait, the Cleveland Browns have made a decision, by naming Brady Quinn the starting quarterback for week one against the Vikings.
It has been thought for weeks that the Browns would name Quinn the starter for the season. His preseason wasn't the most impressive, yet he did not cost himself the starter's role.
The formal decision comes two days after the Detroit Lions named Matthew Stafford their quarterback.
With all the quarterback battles finished, it must really mean that the NFL is ready for kickoff week.
