You read that right...Terrell Owens has broken the code of silence that Eric Mangini was trying to maintain in his quarterback competition by using Twitter.
Owens, about an hour ago, wrote this tweet to Brady Quinn, "Congrats 2 Brady Quinn 4 starting job w/Cleveland Browns!!"
How Owens knows this information will be debated, but he is on the inside being an NFL player, and any other member of the Cleveland Browns could be friends with Owens and told him via a text or phone call.
It's just said that Mangini does not have his "competitive advantage" over the Minnesota Vikings anymore due to Owens' need to tweet to the world.
Also cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer reporter Mary Kay Cabot has written that a league source has contacted The Plain Dealer saying that Quinn has become the Browns starting quarterback, too.
She wrote, "Quinn acted Wednesday as though he didn't know. 'We're just out there continuing to battle with one another to get everything better for our team,' [Quinn] said."
Mangini told the quarterbacks Tuesday night and Quinn took the first-team reps during the Wednesday afternoon practice at the Browns Training Facility in Berea, OH.
