Unfortunately finding the details to contextualise when and against whom this footage came from is proving slightly taxing at present, so any information any of you have to help explain this video is welcome.
Playing for the Ajax senior team in the last day or so, Dennis Bergkamp proved that he still has all of his guile, craft and irresistible technique of his heyday by scoring a fantastic chip over a helpless goalie.
Bergkamp received the ball just outside the opponents area and, with the keeper barely off his line and a defender quickly bearing down on the former Arsenal superstar, the number 10 delightfully lifted a delicate chip goalwards. The ball sailed majestically just under the bar for yet another scrapbook moment in the Dutchman’s glittering career.
