Utah Jazz Offseason: An Open Letter to Kevin O' Connor

If you're reading this Mr. O'Connor, then I have only one request, one plea, and one hope for Utah's beloved Jazz: do whatever it takes to win.

Yes, I understand that the current state of the team is nothing to be ashamed about, but come on, don't you want to win sometime soon? Jerry Sloan can't coach forever, and doesn't he deserve a title for his devotion and dedication to this franchise?

The way the team is currently doesn't make it too hard of an effort to get them over the hump to become legitimate contenders.

What do the Jazz need? Well, how about another scorer, and by that I don't mean a shooter or a contributor I mean an actual scorer.

I hear Antwan Jamison is available, he would be a nice fit. I heard Richard Jefferson's name is being floated around in trades, how about an effort at making something happen there? I don't know who else, but just someone else to play at the three.

What about Kirilenko? Try to package him in a trade to bring that third guy the team needs behind Boozer and D-Will. You missed the boat on Marion, please don't let that happen again.

The reason why I am begging you Larry, by the way can I call you Larry? Well, back to the point, the reason why I am asking is because if I don't, no one else will. The fans seem to be content because the guys are hard working, and we all know a Jerry Sloan team will always fight.

I know that our stars like D-Will won't say anything. Heck, D-Will just said to keep the team together, but come on Larry, you know better. When you drafted him, I think you also happened to get the long lost son of Jerry Sloan because this guy won't complain. He'll probably be on this roster his whole life and will never complain once.

The onus my good sir, is on you. And while the window is still open on this team competing, Los Angeles is shutting the door on this team being contenders.
