Finally, the preseason is over and we are only days away from the NFL's opening game. It's not easy to make any serious claims about who will be the best team in the league, but I'm going to try.

Here is a list of the league's 32 teams from the worst to the best. Though you may not agree with my ideas, I'd love to hear feedback from you, the readers. I always like hearing other opinions.

32-27

CLEVELAND - AUGUST 22: Joshua Cribbs #16 of the Cleveland Browns runs by Phillip Buchanon #31 of the Detroit Lions during the first quarter of their NFL game in Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 22, 2009 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by Matt Sullivan/Gett

32: Tampa Bay Buccaneers—No solid quarterback. Not a good sign. Firing their offensive coordinator eight days before the regular season starts: also, not a good sign. This is definitely a "rebuilding year."

31: Kansas City Chiefs—The addition of Matt Cassel is not going to solve all of their problems. Unfortunately, he isn't going to make their lackluster defense any better.

30: San Fransisco 49ers—I like the 49ers and I hope they do climb out of the hole they've been in. But Shaun Hill is their starting quarterback, and I just don't see them making it that far.

29: St. Louis Rams—Well maybe Steven Jackson can carry this team once again, but they just aren't a talented enough team on either side of the ball to make any noise.

28: Detroit Lions—They have a talented running back in Kevin Smith, and rookie tight end Brandon Pettigrew should make an immediate improvement to their offense. This could be the year they start to step it up after all those years of languishing at the bottom of the NFL's standings.

27: Cleveland Browns—This is a scrappy team. But they lost Dante Stallworth and Kellen Winslow, so their offense only got worse.

26-22

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - SEPTEMBER 3: Quarterback Mark Sanchez #6 of the New York Jets looks to make a pass play in the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles during the NFL preseason game at Giants Stadium on September 3, 2009 in East Rutherford, New

26: Denver Broncos—The Denver Broncos have been completely made over. With no foundation and a sub-par defense, they fall in my rankings to one of the 10 worst teams in the league.

25: Oakland Raiders—I'd like to see their star draft picks start to do some good, but the Raiders are still have nothing that teams will fear. Maybe Derrius Heyward-Bey will actually be worth his draft pick...though even if he is, the Raiders will likely struggle.

24: Jacksonville Jaguars—They are in a tough division and they lost Mike Peterson, who was their best defensive player.

23: New York Jets—Yes, Mark Sanchez looks very good. But I don't see him pulling a Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco.

22: Washington Redskins—They grabbed Albert Haynesworth but spent so much money they had to let Jason Taylor go. They play in a very tough division and they just don't have enough skill to come out on top.

21-16

21: Cincinnati Bengals—They lost one of their biggest offensive weapons and haven't improved in any other areas.

20: New Orleans Saints—Drew Brees is amazing, but this team is going to need more out of its defense for it to be a top-tier team.

19: Dallas Cowboys—Yeah, I know everyone will disagree with this pick, but the Cowboys just are not that good. If Felix Jones can stay healthy he might turn into a star back, but for now, I have them low on the list.

18: Buffalo Bills— Terrell Owens will improve this team, but they are so inconsistent that I don't know how much it will help. Not to mention, they just fired their offensive coordinator.

17: Arizona Cardinals—They did just win the NFC Championship, but I truly think it was a fluke.

16: Minnesota Vikings—Brett Favre is not going to save this team. But he might get them in the playoffs.

15-11

15: Miami Dolphins—The Dolphins did great last year, but they won't do as well now that everyone has film on their Wildcat formation.

14: Green Bay Packers—The Packers have a lot of weapons once again, and Aaron Rogers should play as well as he did last year. However, we'll have to see how well this 3-4 defense is run during the regular season before putting them in the top-10.

13: Houston Texans-This could be the year they get to the playoffs, but the AFC South is a rough division to try and top what with Indy, Jacksonville, and Tennessee waiting in the wings.

12: Seattle Seahawks-Aaron Curry makes the defense better and the offense is back from all their injuries. This team could very easily take the NFC West.

11: Philadelphia Eagles-Many people have them higher on their lists. But their loss of Brian Dawkins would be as much of an impact as if Ray Lewis left the Ravens. This defense is going to take a small drop off from last year.

10-6

DETROIT, MI - AUGUST 28: Quarterback Peyton Manning #18 of the Indianapolis Colts drops back to pass the football against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on August 28, 2009 in Detroit, Michigan. (Photo by Scott Boehm/Getty Images)

10: Chicago Bears—They were 9-7 last year with an average quarterback. Hopefully this year they can take another step up with a better QB.

9: Atlanta Falcons-If it's going to happen, this would be year that Matt Ryan suffers from a sophomore slump. We'll see how he handles facing teams that have a whole year's worth of film on him.

8: San Diego Chargers-They look very good this year, not to mention they are in a terrible division. They should make the playoffs with ease.

7: Baltimore Ravens-The Ravens are a very talented team. Though they lost Bart Scott, they still should be good. Quarterback Joe Flacco still has to worry about the sophomore slump just as Matt Ryan does.

6: Indianapolis Colts-They are still a very good team. But as of now, the Titans have taken over that division.

5: Carolina Panthers

MIAMI - AUGUST 22: Head coach John Fox of the Carolina Panthers watches his team from the sidelines while taking on the Miami Dolphins during a pre-season game at Land Shark Stadium on August 22, 2009 in Miami, Florida. The Dolphins defeated the Panthers

Many people are overlooking the Panthers. Last year they won the NFC South, and yet people still look at the Falcons as being the better team. They are solid across the board and really have no big holes in their team.

Not to mention that DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are backs who are flying way under the radar.

4: Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are an incredible team who only lost one major player over the offseason in Albert Haynesworth. With RB Chris Johnson getting another year under his belt, their offense should only get better.

3: New York Giants

The Giants just have so many weapons on offense, along with a very stout defense. There aren't a lot of weaknesses on this team, and they should be the top team in the NFC this year.

2: New England Patriots

FOXBORO, MA - SEPTEMBER 03: Tom Brady #12 of the New England Patriots and Randy Moss #81 celebrate in the fourth quarter against the New York Giants on September 3, 2009 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The Patriots defeated the Giants 38-2

Tom Brady is back, and this offense will return to form. They should be a top team this year and could very well be the No. 1 team on this list by season's end.

1: Pittsburgh Steelers

PITTSBURGH - AUGUST 29: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger #7 of the Pittsburgh Steelers passes downfield in the second quarter during the game against the Buffalo Bills at Heinz Field on August 29, 2009 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/

The defending world champions are back with pretty much the same starters. The only difference this year is a weaker schedule. They should remain on top for the rest of the season.
