The NCAA has released some interesting news on their website concerning the upcoming Men's Lacrosse season. They will be testing out instant replay this coming season, especially with goal/no-goal situations.

Well, replay is always good, right?

Not in this case. The catch to the replay is that it will only be used for televised games. So...is the NCAA trying to save face on TV? This type of policy will only benefit the top teams, the ones who are the only televised markets. So, not all teams will have this benefit, and now this creates an officiating divide. Some will be reffed only by the human eye, while others will have the benefit of the replay.

To have replay for everybody would be too expensive I would believe, so I can see where there ruling could come from practically, but it's not truly realistic in my opinion. If everybody can't have replay, then why do only some teams get it?

NCAA officials, you can only have it one way or the other...none of this "only for the top teams"... are you going to have all replay, or no replay?
