Nike has undoubtedly become the juggernaut of college football apparel.

From schools such as Oregon, Nike's guinea pig for new-age gear, to Texas, where the brand has maintained a strong sense to tradition while still advancing the technology of the uniform itself, Nike jerseys routinely trend on social media and captivate audiences.

Let's check out Nike's top 10 uniforms in college football.

10. Oklahoma State

As Oklahoma State has risen to contender status in the Big 12 under Mike Gundy, so too has the Cowboys' style.

Last year, the Cowboys sported orange chrome helmets that were an instant hit. The team's black jersey and orange pants were also a perfect combination.

Oklahoma State also rocks a good array of white, orange and gray tops and bottoms, making the versatility of the team's uniforms appealing.

9. Boise State

Like Oklahoma State, Boise State—among the best Group of Five teams in terms of their uniforms' aesthetics—rock the color orange beautifully.

Their blue chrome helmets are also a nice touch, and again like Oklahoma State, the Broncos have an array of alternative color options.

8. San Diego State

One of the unwritten sins of college football uniforms can, at times, be going black for black's sake.

With black and scarlet being the San Diego State colors, the Aztecs don't have that to worry about.

Their prize? Stunning black jerseys. The red-and-white shoulder stripes are a nice touch, while the red chrome helmets are the kicker.

The team's white jerseys are a good look as well and feature red-and-black stripes on the shoulders.

7. Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners part have, for the most part, stayed traditional with their red helmets, tops and white bottoms for home and red helmets with white and white on the road.

The "Sooners" emblazoned on the chest always look great.

Oklahoma recently added a new set of alternates that feature a cream tone, and the occasions when the Sooners break them out adds an edge.

6. Virginia Tech

There's a saying in Blacksburg that goes, "If God isn't a Hokie, why do leaves turn orange and maroon in the fall?"

Well, that color scheme always works beautifully on Saturday nights.

The Virginia Tech Hokies have a wide array of jersey options from orange, maroon, white and even black, and they all complement each other.

The alternates from military-themed games and other events are always hits as well.

5. Alabama

Arguably the most intimidating uniforms in college football are in Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama Crimson Tide, like Oklahoma, have stayed traditional. Their uniforms are simple: crimson helmets with the numbers on them, crimson tops and white, crimson-striped pants.

Given how much history has been made in those colours, the uniforms themselves are part of the Crimson Tide legend.

4. Ohio State

From the famous helmet stickers to to the shoulder stripes on the jerseys, the Ohio State Buckeyes still have one of the best uniforms around.

The Buckeyes have stayed traditional with their look while still looking sleek in the ever-progressing world of uniforms.

The red isn't overpowering, while the gray is a perfect complement.

Even the contrasting black numbers on the shoulders of their jerseys are a nice touch.

3. Texas

The Texas Longhorns undoubtedly have the best traditional uniform in college football.

The burnt orange of the top is among the symbols that epitomize not just the Longhorns but the State of Texas.

Texas' white helmets and face masks are sleek, with the logo and "Texas" stitched on the chest adding to the uniform's overall appeal.

The jerseys aren't overly flashy, but neither is Texas in general. They perfectly fit the culture in which the Longhorns are embedded, making them nearly perfect.

2. Oregon

The college football nation's fetish with uniform aesthetics can be traced back to Nike's influence with the Oregon Ducks jerseys.

Every game of every season, the Ducks rock a new combination. The apparel company's versatility with two seemingly similar colors, green and yellow, has reached legendary levels.

Nike's project school was on full display in the College Football Playoff last year, with both the all-green semifinal look and the all-white championship outfit receiving rave reviews.

1. TCU

Purple is commonly known as the color of royalty, and the TCU Horned Frogs have become that in the world of college football jerseys

The chrome and matte helmets, both black an white, chrome face masks—the purple is among the best features of any uniform in all of sports—to the black, purple and white pants and jerseys, Nike has found its kingdom in Fort Worth.

The helmets are the best part of TCU's look, as they change almost every week. Some feature the Horned Frog log, others are emblazoned with "TCU" and some feature both.
