Breakfast Table Talk: Is Alabama Going To Win It All?

Patrick Ferlise@@PatrickFerliseCorrespondent ISeptember 7, 2009

As we all know two nights ago Alabama played Virginia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. The Tide was favored coming into the game and lived up to that expectation by beating the Hokies 34-24. Virginia Tech put up a good fight, I'll say that no doubt. Looking at last year, Alabama made it to the SEC Championship but lost to Florida. The question running through college football fans this Sunday morning I've noticed is that they're wondering if Alabama will once again show up in the SEC Championship and possibly go on to take the BCS National Championship trophy. To me, there's no doubt in my mind that it's very plausible. The Crimson Tide will have some stiff competition on the road to the national Championship, battling Ole Miss and LSU. Ole Miss as we know was the only team to defeat Florida last year, LSU won two National Championships in the last five years. We will just have to see if the breakfast table observations will be true. As an Alabama fan, I just hope they try their best.
