HATTIESBURG, Mississippi- The University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles played the Alcorn State Braves last night in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The Eagles came out charging against the Braves' defense, showing a strong offense for the Conference USA team. Surprising fans sitting at home and in the stands, Southern Miss ended the game with a final score of 52-0 (def. Alcorn State). Coach Fedora showed nothing but pride as his Golden Eagles trampled the Braves who had no chance to score. Next week Southern Miss. plays UCF in Hattiesburg. This should be an exciting game, last year the Eagles beat the Golden Knights on UCF's homecoming weekend. Southern Mississippi definitely will be a big contender for the Conference USA Championship.
