It's inevitable.

No matter how good a season a Major League baseball player has, no matter how important it seems he may be to his team, there's no pleasing everyone.
The same is true when it comes to the baseball writers voting for the league MVP awards.

Even if there is a clear cut favorite, there's always guys that show up in the voting that make you scratch your head and wonder "Who voted for that guy?".

Eventully, all those varying opinions can lead to some pretty obvious MVP snubs. Some may just play for teams with little exposure, losing the award to a player in a bigger market, while others just happen to have their career year as the same time another player is, thus being overshadowed.
