With a 103-97 win in game two Thursday night, the Pistons did what no other team has done this playoffs: get a win in Boston. Richard Hamilton bounced back from a slow game one with 25 points and Chauncey Billups added 19 with seven assists to even the series at one game apiece.
Ray Allen scored 25 points, his best performance in the playoffs for the Celtics. Now the challenge for the Celtics will be to go win in Detroit. They are 0-6 on the road so far in the playoffs. Paul Pierce, who had 26 points, said, "We have no choice now but to get it done on the road." Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 13 rebounds.
The Pistons led most the night, playing great defense and going 28-32 from the free throw line.
