Napoleon Bonaparte was a legendary leader. He was as smart as he was ruthless. Worldwide he was known for his tactics, his plan making abilities, and his keen way of outsmarting the enemy. Knowledge was in his blood, and he was always seeking more, feeding on it, and developing relevant skills. He knew something about China, something that nobody else ventured to think about. He had a bad feeling about China and its future greatness. China awoke about 12 years ago, and for the past nine, it had a steady, record breaking 9% economic growth.

Dino Duva, Lou Duva’s son as well as a well known promoter, has discovered a goldmine for boxing prospects in China. After watching the Chinese perform during the Olympics, Dina decided that this is something he is very interested in. He is now, working on bringing the young Chinese fighters to US and seeing how far they will go. Is this a good idea? How far will they get in this particular sport? What can this do for boxing?

First of all, this may very well spark interest in boxing all over the world again. The curiosity may bring many more fans to the sport. Asian fans alone will add a huge marker to the sport.

As per their character, Chinese have shown to be very dedicated hard working people. They take their time, and listen to advice. In other words, they are extremely obedient and submissive to instruction. That may have sounded offensive, but I am trying to signify their patience and desire to go far in whatever they do.

Personally, I have not seen too much of Chinese boxing. I am sure they have good strong people, with skill and fire. There are probably great trainers there as well. Most likely, they would be fighting at lighter weights, due to the fact that they mostly lighter people.  The question is, will they be able to make to the big time? Why or why not?

I would love to hear some opinions on this, and explanations as to why you believe so.
