And it looks like we'll receive an official. Superstar athlete Anthony Barr lists a top five of Notre Dame, Michigan, California, USC and UCLA.
Despite his ridiculous size and speed (6'4", 225 pounds, 4.5 40), Barr doesn't care where he plays.
"I don't really care (about position) as long as I play," Barr told Scout.com. "But as far as my preference, I really enjoy running the ball. But I don't know if that's a reality. I know lot of schools are saying running back, but a lot are saying linebacker, or a hybrid safety/linebacker."
Michigan has put a lot of resources into Barr. Greg Robinson visited the school last spring. Tony Dews also took a visit.
His mother is encouraging him to go outside California, which would indicate that Michigan and Notre Dame would have the best shot.
"Honestly, I went away to school," Lori Barr said. "I actually encouraged him to look outside of California. I think that is where he going to grow the most. Sure, I'll be sad as his mom, but I can always catch a plane to wherever he is."
As far as decision time lines, Barr says he's going to take all five official visits and then make a decision. He is also playing in the U.S. Army All American game.
"I want to take all of (my official visits) and once my decision is sure, I'll announce," he said. "It would be cool to make it at the Army game, but only if I'm ready."
Let's hope Anthony enjoys his trip to Ann Arbor. We'd love to have him.
