Former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt will be looking to shock World No. 1 Roger Federer when the duo meet in the third round of the US Open in what will be a repeat of the 2004 Final.

Hewitt secured his place in round three of the Open when he sealed a straight sets win over the Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela.

Hewitt has not beaten Federer since the Davis Cup Semifinals at the end of 2003 but the Australian is renowned for his grit and determination and he will be relishing his opportunity to face Federer.

The Australian took the tennis world by storm back in 2001 when he defeated the legendary American Pete Sampras 7-6 6-1 6-1 in the Final at Flushing Meadows.

Hewitt went on to finish that year ranked No. 1 in the world for the first time in his career and the Australian will be hoping that he can upset the Betting Odds and beat the Swiss maestro when the duo meet in the third round in New York.
