Force India have released Giancarlo Fisichella and allowed him to join Ferrari for the rest of the 2009 season.

Ferrari have been seeking a replacement driver to cover for the injured  Brazilian Felipe Massa.

Micheal Schumacher had agreed to come out of retirement to replace Massa for the remainder of the season but then had to call off the come back due to a neck injury. 

Veteran test driver Luca Badoer stepped into the breach for the Belgium Grand Prix.
