In an exclusive interview with his new club's official website, Egyptian star Mohammad Shawky told Middlesbrough fans about his future, his plans, the way he sees English football and how he compares it with Egyptian football. The Former Al Ahly star thanked Ahmed Hossam—a.k.a. "Mido"—who is helping him a lot in his new adventure in England, whether with the team or the lifestyle in general.
According to the "Boro" website, Shawky's finest skills are breaking the opponents' attacks, pressure, and accurate passing in addition to that the "gift" of scoring from far away.
This gift is most probably unknown to the club's fans, and for that they have been recommended a link on the web that helps them see the talents of their new midfielder.
These are some quotes from the interview:
"Mido is my friend, he helped me a lot. We played together for Egypt, and we knew each others since the youth national teams. Now he is helping me in everything; by the way, he is a great player as well."
"Football here is different from that that I know. I am really happy to play for Boro especially that the team has some good players, and lately I closely watched a lot of Premiership matches, which gave me a clear idea of football in England. It is a high tempo game, completely opposite to the way we play in Egypt".
"The cool weather is not a problem, in Egypt I got used to hot weather, but I am not worried about the issue here, I think I can cope with it".
"My wishes are limitless with Boro, I am looking forward to play the best I can in order to help my team perform well and win matches. In the end you can call me Shawky, I prefer to be called Shawky, and it is simpler and has a special rhythm".
