I don't know about you, but i am excited for the new players this year in the NHL. The 2009 NHL Prospects are looking ready to tare up the ice in any way shape or form, but what i'm really excited to see is the newcomers battling it out against each other. We'll finally be able to see who can stick their skates to the ice with the pro's, and who should probably stay on the bench to keep it warm for the ones coming off.

October is close, and were just itching to open up our beers and reserve our seats in front of our big screens to rant and rave at what has become to be the most exciting game ever to watch.

We all have our own predictions for this year. I definitely have mine. Jon Tavares is going to shine admirably, and Luke Schenn's younger double, Brayden Schenn, is going to follow in his brother's footsteps. This season should be an interesting one, but amazing at that. Most of all these boys have experienced great things, such as Gold Medals, and great awards. The accomplishments that these young fine athletes have gained at such a young age is stupendous.

Before when we had great players come into the NHL, it seemed that only a few of them stood out, and the rest of them were sent down, or totally just scratched right off the list. I don't see that happening too much this year. Or maybe i'm wrong? The predictions of some of these players are outstanding and i am pleased to say that i am for once, not shaking my head in altercation.

Games will be brighter, crowds will be louder, arena's will be fuller, and TSN just won't be able to keep up.
