Alabama on a Roll with Preseason Accolades, Can Butter Up Voters with Performance
Crimson Tide preseason hype—does it end?
Not as long as you continue to prove yourself. 'Bama is back in the news, but this time they find themselves on the "good" side. Get out your record or stats book for the season and add a "must-watch" list.
The Crimson Tide has a combined 19 players on 11 preseason watch lists, led by junior Rolando McClain and senior defensive lineman Terrence Cody. Both appear on five preseason watch lists.
Bama makes the news AGAIN—see why
Alert...alert....alert...a preseason NEWS ALERT...19 players to add to your outstanding players to watch during the 2009 season.
Nineteen University of Alabama players (some listed twice to combine for that number) are on target to receive 11 national awards at season's end.
Alabama has a combined 19 players on 11 different preseason watch lists this season, led by junior Rolando McClain and senior defensive lineman Terrence Cody. Both appear on five preseason watch lists.
Other UA players on the preseason watch lists include senior defensive back Javier Arenas, sophomore linebacker Dont’a Hightower, sophomore running back Mark Ingram, senior offensive lineman Mike Johnson, sophomore wide receiver Julio Jones and senior kicker Leigh Tiffin (information taken from rolltide.com).
Being recognized as the player on target to receive any of these national awards is further proof of the pride and commitment level on behalf of the coaching staff to inspire these young kids to finish and be successful, and the will and self-discipline to push and take your game one step further.
Congratulations to all the players, coaching staff, and the school.
The SEC Western Division Champions of 2008 start 2009 ranked No. 5.
Alabama finally understands the social rank and stigma that follows the fan appreciation, and for some the antics may still be coming to light. All I can say is put your seat belt on, because it's going to be more than you could imagine, dream, and live.
Those who come to Bama Football as newbies will understand why "This is Alablama Football" and "Alabama Football is a way of life"—a religion, if you will.
Welcome one, welcome all, and are you ready for some football?
A Southern Belle
