The new Rams regime have parted ways with the former 1st round pick in the 2006 draft, CB Tye Hill.  As reported in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Tye Hill has been traded to the Atlanta Falcons for a 7th round pick in 2010. The move continues the tone set by Steve Spagnuolo and Billy Devaney that no player's status is safe.

Appearing in only 28 games over three years with the last 2 years shorten by injury, the former Clemson Tiger has never lived up to expections.

With the move, Jonathan Wade, the 3rd round pick from Tennessee in 2007 moves into the starting role.

Earlier today, the Rams second round pick in 2006, Joe Klopfenstein was released almost completing the house cleaning from Scott Linehan's first draft, leaving only Victor Adeyanju (DE) (drafted in the 4th round) and Mark Setterstrom (OG)(drafted in the 7th round) as the only two remaining on the Rams rooster.

If anything, the moves with Hill and Klopfenstein indicate there may be some surprises in store before the season starts with the final cuts.
