Here is a trade that could work:
Michael Redd + 2009 1st round pick(top 7 protected)
for
Wally Szczerbiak, Danial Gibson, and 2008 first round pick
Why?
the Cavs would get a prolific scorer who can hit jump-shot or create his own shot to go along with James. With a lineup of West, Redd, James, Wallace, and Big Z the Cavs would be serious contenders for the next two years.
The Bucks would get a big expiring contract in Szczerbiak and would get two pieces for their rebuilding process in Gibson and the 19th pick (hopefuly Brandon Rush) Sessions, Szczerbiak, Randolph (8th pick), Yi, and Bogut along with a bench of Rush, Gibson, Mason, and Bell could sneak into the eighth spot in the East.
I also think the Bucks will trade Villanueva and Williams at some point during this off-season.

Nice proposal. I really like it. Redd can get really hot outside the permiter and with his jump shot. Pressure off James with Redd in the game would be crucial for the Cavaliers. However, I am not too sure that the Bucks would approve of trading Redd.

I agree, Michael Redd would be great on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Although, It will probably take Ben Wallace, Wally, and the 1st round pick to land Redd.
Nice article.

The Bucks have 91 million reasons not to trade him, but I can see a Memphis-type situation happening. Get rid of all the huge contracts and virtually start from scratch keeping only a few select players from the 'Harris-era'.
The Bucks are my team and I'm glad they again have a GM who knows what the hell he's doing. There are defintiely some major face-lifting changes that will happen in Brew Town before the season starts.

u are right this is a tremenous trade....FOR THE CAVS!!!
we dont need youth!!!! we have tht in excess!!!!!
we need age and experience, i cant stress this enough. we dnt need picks, we need to dispense of them actually.
sorry if you think im over reacting but, its the facts. look at man article on this very subject.
i agree on one thing though...williams wont and shouldn't last long in milwaukee. and charlie will be soon to follow.

This would go down as one of the most lopsided trades in the history of the NBA. The Bucks new GM would be run out of town for accepting this offer. Personally, I'd look to have him institutionalized.

why, all Redd can really do is score, he is not worth the money they pay him. He gets franchise player money when he is not a franchise player. Getting an expiering contract, a young player, and a draft pick for Redd wouldn't be a bad deal.

I think this would be a pretty decent trade, at the trading deadline. If the Bucks saw that it just wasn't working with Redd as their man, this would be a smart trade as it gets them out of paying a non-franchise player franchise money and a good young player and a draft pick. I highly doubt the Bucks would be willing to trade for Wally right at the beginning of the season to essentially take Michael Redd off the books. Michael Redd is not worth the money he is being paid, but he is still worth a fair amount of money as a scorer and it would not be in the best interests of the Bucks to bite the bullet on his contract until at least midseason, at which point they could play all young guys. Keep in mind they are in the Eastern Conference, 37 wins = playoffs.

Nooo.. Naw... U-uhh I'm not feeling THAT move at all. Gibson goes NOwhere! Why would the Cavs bail on their OWN rebuilding process, of which Daniel is a big part of. Micheal Redd might be a good move, but for Damon Jones, Devin Brown, Wally Szczerbiak and whomever else you might wanna throw in there OTHER THAN Daniel, Delonte, Z and of course, LeBron. I'm hoping the Cavs'll grab James Jones from the Trail Blazers- something the CAVS can actually afford- he's an inexpensive, 3-ballin', free agent that could tighten up the bench. Then I'd like to see them move some pieces around to get rid of Szczerbiak and Wallace's contracts in order to grab Shawn Marion- that would take another creative trade with a few teams though. I'm thinking about West, Gibson, James, Marion and Ilgauskas. What?

Hey Brad, how 'bout you keep your opinions to yourself? Stop giving other teams ideas.
There's no way that Redd would fit anywhere better than Dallas. At least, I'm praying everyday that Redd believes it....
