MMADieHards.com sources have confirmed that Cub Swanson and John Franchi will be fighting on a WEC 44 card in November at an unknown venue. The card will feature the main event bout between Jose Aldo and featherweight champion Mike Brown.


Swanson (13-3) is coming off of a loss to No. 1 contender Jose Aldo in a brutal eight second knockout. Prior to the defeat, Swanson had won 13 of his 14 fights, with his only defeat coming at the hands of Jens Pulver.

Franchi (5-1) suffered his first career defeat at the hands of Manny Gamburyan by unanimous decision at WEC 41.
