Before reading this article keep in mind, this is a rumor. I have no way of proving it is true. This is just information from a inside source.

Today I had an interesting phone call from a good friend of mine. I won't reveal his name or job for his safety. We have been going back and forth talking about the browns for some years. A statement he made today a few minutes in caused me to miss the next few sentences thinking on this one.

I asked him What are your thoughts on where the QB controversy is?  His sentence was as followed,

"Well Derek looked great today, but i don't think it's gonna be enough. Tennessee is his last hope."

I didn't ask him any more questions. I don't think he meant to tell me this much. He's never mentioned anything about it except the popular Mangini quote "It's really close".

In an earlier conversation i asked him if a trade was in order. He told me that he feels like if Quinn gets the nod, DA will be your second string QB. However, if DA gets the nod, Quinn will be traded before the first regular season game.

He did let me know as a fact that the browns will have both QB's work with the first string offense. Also that the first string offense will play into the second half.

Consider this another piece of information on the never ending, old as the city itself, QB controversy.
