The Indian team is all set for the upcoming ODI Series in Sri Lanka. This Series will be featuring India New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
The Champions Trophy is also not very far and the same squad is chosen for the Champions Trophy also. So this Series will be a good preparation for the Champions Trophy.

The Indian skipper was in good touch in the last series he played against the Windies. He scored 186 runs in the series, and got the Man of the Series award. He also saved India from losing the match by hitting a much needed six in the last over of the third ODI.
After team India's disastarous exit from the T20 World Cup, trhe skipper will be looking for a compensating series win and a preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy.
The tall smasher put up a really good performance in the Caribbean. He scored 168 runs. He also hit a brilliant 131 in the first ODI to help India post a three hundred plus total on the board. He also played a good innings against the Windies in the T20 World Cup.
In the IPL he took two useful hat-tricks.
Even though he shines with the bat occasionally, this could be one of the occasions.
His bowling is also useful and can help India get useful batsmen out.
This smasher can come in handy in slog overs. He just smashes sixes and boundaries in the end to boost the momentum and take the score to a fairly good spot.
He hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in the Caribbean, hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in the T20 World Cup and hit 24 fours and 12 sixes in the IPL.
He also is a good spinner who takes useful wickets at times. He took 6 wickets in the IPL and 4 in the Caribbean.
The master Blaster did a great job in the IPL. even though his team was on a low in the IPL but Tendulkar scored 364 runs at an average of 33.09.
He can hit useful fifties and sometimes also score centuries.
If he is still in his good form, he can help us win the series.
The Delhi opener had a good T20 World Cup. He scored 148 runs in five matches with an average of 29.60
Though he has not been in good touch recently, but has the capability to set a good base of the innings will prove handy.
The young middle order batsman had a good IPL. He scored 434 runs at an average of 31.00 in it.
He comes in handy when the top order fails to perform. His useful innings have helped India a lot in the past.
He is also a good fielder and takes crucial catches.
The South Indian batsman scored 288 runs in the IPl at an average of 36.00. He also scored a useful fifty against the Windies in the first ODI
He comes in as a replacement for M.S Dhoni for wicketkeeping.
The pacer was the Orange Cap holder of the IPL. He was doing well in the T20 World Cup also.
He comes in handy with the ball, and helps to get dangerous batsmen out early.
The 6'4" tall pacer took 11 wickets in the IPL.
He has to work on his no balls, and has to stop giving away too many runs.
He is the only fast bowler in the team and can make the opposing batsman shudder.
The turbanator took 12 wickets in the IPL, took 3 wickets in the Caribbean and took 5 wickets in the T20 World Cup.
His offspin totally confuses the batsmen and his bowling comes in handy when the pacers fail to get wickets.
The legbreak bowler had a good IPL. He took 14 wickets.
Though he has not beem very good in ODIs but is the only leggie India has. He is good and efficient, so India needs him.
The allrounder has not shown much with the bat yet but has done fairly well with the ball.
He took 13 wickets in the IPL.
He can show his magic at difficult times. So India needs him.
The batsman has not yet got a chance bat nor bowl in any of the international matches yet. So nothing much can be said about him. But if he has been selected, he must have shone some good performances. All newcomers usually do well at first. So he can be useful for India.
The left arm pacer was the highest wicket taker in the Caribbean. He also took 19 wickets in the IPL.
He has been in good touch and will come in handy.
The senoir most player of the team has been included in the ODI squad after a long time.
He did not have a good IPl, but for him its a great thing for him to have been included in the ODI squad. So he he will put in his best of efforts and I hope they produce the best results
