The Mets are having a horrible year and its not there fault. There players are getting hurt left and wright. .... any one get that....? Whatever. But what is there fault is the Contracts they are paying to there players. So without further ado, i have made a top 5 list of teams with bad contract situations. Tell me if you think a team is deserving of being on this list. I hope you like it.

5. Yankees

I know that some people think that they are in the best situation. But contrary to popular belief, the Yankees don't have as much money as people think. But think about this. They have A-Rod's contract through 2017! He cant even move that great anymore. Then they signed C.C Sabathia through 2015 and i mean he is a great pitcher...but he is over weight and is not being very Cy Youngish like they were hoping. And they also have Texiera singed for 8 more years. You just don't know, in 8 years, he might be injured. It is very risky signing players for that long

4. Detroit Tigers

It is not looking good for the Tigers. They have one of the highest paid players in the game who is batting 277 with 7 homers. So heres the deal with him. There is 37 games left in the season for the Tigers. If Magglio plays in 35 of those games, he gets paid 18 million dollars. If he doesn't, than he will be a free agent and will most likely get paid less than 5 mill a year. But his agent, who else but Scott boras, will make him play all the games left in the season. They also are paying Dontrell Willis a lot of cash.

3. Red Sox

I am a die-hard sox fan, but they have some contracts stinking up the place. First off, there highest paid player is Mike Lowell, who can barely move and has to play third when he is not sitting because Ortiz just cant field. He is the second highest paid player on the team. They also are paying Daisuke Matsuzaka till 2012.

2. Cubs

The Cubs. If there's a list of anything sucking or horrible, there up there. Well, were to begin. Alfonso Soriano is going to be 38 before his contract runs up, and he can barely field anyways, never mind his hitting. There paying Ryan Dempster 12 mill to be a quality 4 starter. Fukodome is WAY over payed. And lets not forget Milton Bradley. This organization will not be at the top till Soriano's contract is up.

1. M-E-T-S METS, METS, METS!

Wow. It is hard to describe what has happened to the Mets this year. Well for starters. There injured players that are out this year have a higher salaries than half of the leagues TEAMS. There lineup that is out; 1. Jose Reyes, 3. David Wright, 4 Beltran, 5, Delgado, 7 Sheffield. 1 Pitcher Johan Santana, closer J.J Putz. Now there talking of firing there manager. Tell me a team that could win a division with there top 6 players out. Anyways the reason there contract is bad is because they don't know if any of those players will be as good as before.
