Why Being a Yankees Fan Is Harder Than Any Other Fan

Before I start. Cub's fans you really don't count. You are never going to win, get over it and start praying that Derrick Rose is the next coming of Michael Jordan.

Having said that, being a Yankees fan is sometimes the most torturous thing. We spend so much money and haven't won a ring in about a decade and when we don't we hear it from every other baseball in the world.

Not to mention how frustrating it has been to see so many of our high priced free agents just absolutely fall apart. Carl Pavano, Jason Giambi, Jose Contreras, Roger Clemens and the list goes on for so long that I won't even attempt it.

While it is great that our franchise is willing to go get this high priced talent, it makes it even worse in October when we are knocked out by a team like the Angels or the Marlins.

Going to school in Virginia I have to deal with every single person hating the Yankees and wishing they would never win a game. When they get knocked out of the playoffs it is like an early Christmas present for the rest of the baseball world.

Not to mention that the next two weeks ESPN will be ripping the Yankees apart saying this and that about how even with all that money they still can't win.

Having said all of this, I love the Yankees and I am a huge fan and really think this year could be the year we end the drought. If not it could be another long offseason for Yankees fans.
