Len Pasquarelli of ESPN is reporting that the San Diego Chargers have signed quarterback Phillip Rivers to a six year, 92 million dollar contract. The Contract is guaranteed almost 40 million dollars.

Rivers threw for 4,009 passing yards last season, while leading the Chargers on a late season playoff run. Rivers has started all 16 games in which he has played in since 2005, when Drew Brees was still in San Diego.

Rivers threw for 3,152 yards in 2007, and added 21 touchdowns while throwing 15 interceptions. In 2006, Rivers threw for 3,388 passing yards in his first season as a starting quarterback.
