STATE COLLEGE, PA - NOVEMBER 22: Darryl Clark #17 of the Penn State Nittany Lions raises the Big Ten Conference Championship Trophy after the game against the Michigan State Spartans on November 22, 2008 at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania. Coming into this new college football season, Penn State has put this team into the hands of a young Daryll Clark. Clark last year was one of the best option QB's in the country, with 2,874 yards of offense and carried the Lions to the Rose Bowl last year. Clark enters this year as a possible Heisman Trophy winner. This would be a no-brainer that this could be the year, but only one thing stands in the way.

The Lions lost three of their wide recievers, three of the best wide recievers in school history. That's the one thing standing in their way, besides Michigan State. Then again, the Lions have kept 8 of their starters, such as Clark, RB's Evan Royster and Stephfon Green,  and LB's Sean Lee and Navorro Bowman, to name a few.

I'm going to predict who wins on the Lions schedule and please tell me what you think...

5th:  Akron vs. Penn State: I'm picking Penn State, 28 to 7

12th: Syracuse vs. Penn State: I'm picking Penn State, 21 to 14

19th: Temple vs. Penn State: Penn State, by a long shot, 35 to 3

26th: Iowa vs. Penn State: This was a tough one. Iowa has been playing some great ball lately, and after that upset last year, I don't really know. If the Lions play ball and don't slack off, they have the chance to win. I pick Penn State to just edge them out, 37 to 30.

3rd: Penn State vs. Illinois: I'm going with Penn State, 24 to 17

10th: Eatern Illinois vs. Penn State: Penn State, 30 to 10

17th: Minnesota vs. Penn State: Penn State, 27 to 17

24th: Penn State vs. Michigan: Another tough one, but I pick Penn State, 30 to 27

31st: Penn Statevs. Northwestern: Northwestern is a good team, but after their disapointing season last year, I'm not too optimistic on a win this time for the Wildcats. I pick Penn State, 35 to 27

7th:  Ohio State vs. Penn State: Probably the toughest pick on this list. I pick Penn State because they are at home, and they beat Ohio State in their house last year, 42 to 38

14th: Indiana vs. Penn State: I pick Penn State, 27 to 7

21st: Penn State vs. Michigan State: I hate to say it, but I pick Michigan State, 27 to 21

So those were my predictions on Penn State's 2009 season. Please vote on the poll and comments are appreciated. Thanks!
