That is Nick Markakis, One of the most underrated players in baseball. Pretty much the whole orioles team gets overshadowed but Brian Roberts is a hell of a ball player.

But this is a list of the most underrated players in baseball.
Thanks for reading. Tell me if you think someone is underrated and you should tell me because its kind of hard making a list of people that are underrated.

10. Ryan Zimmerman

Ryan Zimmerman. He is overshadowed by the brute strength and power hitting of Adam Dunn and the strasburg thing is going on so everyone has pretty much forgotten about ol' Zimmerman.
2009 stats
302. BA 25 HR 82 RBI
162 game average career

Who is that man hiding in the shadow? Its the Orioles best player, Nick Markakis. Did you know that he is only 25?

Im winning my fantasy baseball league. You wanna know why. I was able to draft him near the end. But everyone knows his E.R.A went down a WHOLE run each year. And guess what next year ill draft him even higher.
2009 stats
2.89 ERA 12-7 W-L 142 SO
162 avg
4.39 ERA 13-12 W-L 157 SO

7. Joey Votto

He has missed some of this year because of depression. He might be thinking "Why am i so underrated?!?" snivel, It's okay Joey, I feel your pain.
2009 stats
308. BA 19 HR 60 RBI
162 avg
303. BA 28 HR 98 RBI

6. Carl Crawford

ANAHEIM, CA - AUGUST 10: Carl Crawford #13 of the Tampa Bay Rays leads off first base against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Angel Stadium on August 10, 2009 in Anaheim, California. (Photo by Jeff Gross/Getty Images)

People know Crawford. They know he is a fast ball player that plays for the rays. But he has led the league in stolen bases four times and is tied this year. And three times he has lead the league in triples. He should be a serious candidate for MVP this year but no, he wont.

296. BA 13 HR 55 SB

5. Joakim Soria

I feel bad for him. He is the best closer in baseball in my opinion, but he never has a chance to close out a game because his team is always down by 10 runs.
2009 stats
2.33 E.R.A 3-1 W-L 20 SV
162 avg
2.11 E.R.A 3-3 W-L 34 SV

Ryan Theriot. Half of you probably dont even probably even know how to say that name. He is one of the best shortstops in the National League, but is unkown because his team sucks and the Shortstops in the NL is one of the best group of SS ever. He also leads his team in hits, average, and runs.
2009 stats
298. BA 7 HR 48 RBI
162 avg.
292. BA 5 HR 50 RBI

3. Andrew Bailey

I dont know how he is so underrated. Usually everyone talks about good rookies. He leads all rookies in ERA. But its the same as for Soria. He doesnt have many chances to close. How many rookie closers have had an E.R.A under 2? Probably not many.
2009 season
1.99 E.R.A 6-3 W-L 18 SV
162 avg.
1.99 E.R.A 8-4 W-L 23 SV

He has been injured most of this year but he is the reason the cubs are still considered contenders. They are a extremely different team with him in the lineup. I dont understand how someone that puts up 30 HR -100 RBI -300. BA for 5 years is this underrated.
2009 stats
322 BA 10 HR 38 RBI ( in only 51 games)
162 avg
285 BA 30 HR 108 RBI

1. Micheal Young

Guess who has had the most hits since 2005? DUH Ichiro but guess whos second, MIcheal Young. And when i read a article he was 66 in top 100 players. Im sorry but thats crazy. He is a consistent 20 Homer, 100 RBI, 200 Hits, 320 AVG. Its amazing how people think Kinsler is the best on the Rangers.
2009 stats
329 BA, 21 HR, 61 RBI
162 avg.
303 BA 17 HR 87 RBI 200 Hits
